Studio Share Madison offers space for musicians and artists for teaching & making, performance, practicing and more.

We have flexible short- and long-term options for professional instructors for ongoing lessons, workshops, recitals, group and master classes - musicians looking for rehearsal or practice space, and artists who need a flexible gallery / recital space.

Available studio spaces :

MUSICIANS and MUSIC EDUCATORS [Studios available most days $25 / hour - discounted for repeat use]

• Two professionally-maintained side-by-side acoustic pianos

• Ample square footage for lessons, plenty of space for kinesthetic learning, desk space to work on theory and compose + white board.

Studio 3 In use / not currently available

Studio 4

• More than 700 square feet [Available for practice, lessons, gallery display, recitals, group classes, lessons, and more - starting at $45 / please inquire. Options for receptions are available.]

• Seating is available for 30-55 [depending upon configurations & ensemble size.]

• A 6- foot Yamaha C3 acoustic grand piano.

• Options for smaller audiences to enjoy a more intimate setting such as a master class or group class. A plush carpet makes youth group class seating on the floor comfortable.

• This is an excellent rehearsal space for small (acoustic) ensembles, instrumental, and modest or smaller sized vocal groups.

• Individual musicians also enjoy practicing comfortably in Studio 4.

• There is ample wall space for visual artist displays - as well as a modular wall for innovative presentations.

• This studio is “decorated for the seasons” for teachers interested in offering a “Halloween” or “Christmas/Holiday”-themed party or recital. Studio Share Madison offers special discounted rates for event-themed performances. Ask about our special rates in late October and throughout the month of December.

• Special multiple-use rates are available to UW Mead Witter School of Music students, Heid Music and Madison Area Music Educator patrons.

Each space feels like a home with task intensive lighting.
