A week off…

I took a week off from teaching. My goal is to practice not less than 2 hours each day - more if I can manage that. Today I sat down in earnest with the 4th movement of Beethoven Op 28.

Here are my challenges:

Timing the pedal because my hand cannot comfortably reach a 10th.

Feeling the character of the “delayed arpeggios” - that’s what I’ll call them. Right now I’m practicing these slow slow slow so that I can feel the rhythm precisely. I have an unsurprisingly stubborn left hand today.

Ok … back to practicing.
